All Sheehaned Out

Mark Steyn's column today in the Chicago Sun-Times puts the Cindy Sheehan story pretty much to rest. For additional comments see Aug. 12 posts at Razor Sharp Claws' and IRAQ THE MODEL.

The money to support the current group of protesters comes from the people who are still in denial about the presidential election (MOVEON.ORG & Co.)... and when nothing more happens for another week or two, the media will pack up and "move on" to the next story. Let's see how long they hang out once the Texas winter hits.

Muther Sheehan is the best recruiting tool the GOP ever had. Karl Rove should send her flowers!

Once more people get beyond the puff pieces of the grieving mother in the "mainstream" media and find out where this woman is really coming from and what her motivations are, they're in for a shock.

Her speech in the company of International Socialists and fellow travelers in SF is an eye opener:

The fact that she is using not just her sons honor and memory but that of other fallen soldiers for her cross protest is disgusting. A number of family members of fallen soldiers have actually gone to Crawford to demand that crosses with their son's name be taken down.

Using the honor and memory of our fallen soldiers without the families permission is a new low, even for the left:

I still like the tax evasion that was brought up by Sweetness and Light.

Tax evasion? I missed that. Oh Well. If the IRS is abolished, how can we evade Taxes? The Great American pastime will be no more. I guess that still leaves baseball and nooners. But they lack the raw thrill of hosing the IRS.
